We living in very interesting Times.
Both from the perspective of Mayan and many other points of view.
We are living in End Times.
That is the Time of Prophecy.
Almost everybody has heard about the date 2012.
Most, after hearing this date will say: "Well, is it not the date on which the Mayan calendar ends?"
It is usually the answer appears.
In fact, the Mayan calendar does not end in 2012.
Mayan calendar is modeled on the cycles inherent in larger series, which, in turn, are entered in the big cycles.
The event, which will take place in 2012, is just a manifestation of the closure of the Main of the Grand Cycle.
For some reason the date 2012 stuck in a particular way in the minds and imagination.
2012 is a determinant encoded in the DNA - is a signal of "Wake up!"
Why is this happening?
For Maya, 2012 is the end of what used to be considered so called Great Cycle.
Great Cycle is a period of 5125 years, which began in the Mayan Calendar date of 13.0.0.0.0.
In the Gregorian calendar (the Julian earlier), that date is August 13 3113 years before Christ.
What events took place precisely at this point?
In most of Western history books are written, that about 3100 years BC History began to run our civilization.
It's only 13 years difference in relation to the Mayan Long Count, which reads:
"In an effort to be accurate in relation to your calendar, it should be August 13 3113 BC"
According to Hinduism, the current cycle of Kali Yuga began 11 years earlier in the year 3102 BC
Probably Era Kali Yuga began at the end of the incarnation of Lord Krishna.
Kali Yuga is the final and most dark age of humanity.
According to the Mayans, the story really began in 3113 BC.
The first dynasty of Egypt was established about 3100 years BC.
The first city in history has been established also in about 3100 BC.
It was the city of Uruk.
From this name comes the name of the city of Iraq.
Uruk was founded by the Seven Sages(Elders) when the story just began to run in Mesopotamia.
If you look in history books, you will notice that everything we consider the history of our civilization, begins precisely during this period and slowly spread from here - these are Babylonian- Mesopotamian roots of our civilization.
Mayans say that the whole cycle of civilization, which lasted 5125 years, will end during the winter solstice December 21, 2012 AD.
2012 is already very, very close.
In the first year of the third millennium was an important event, which everyone is very aware of.
The event is known as September 11.
It was apocalyptic phenomenon, indicating the brutal way that now we are all on the Road to 2012.

This is a long cycle. As if this were not enough, there is even greater Cycle than this series, which also is closing in December 21, 2012 AD.
Cycle of 104 000 years! All these cycles coincide with the conclusions of the extraordinary, converging point - 2012.
The culminating point of convergence of all these cycles will last Seven Months of Thirteen Baktuns (June - December 2012).
When the cycle of closing over the winter solstice, the Earth should now be adorned with Rainbow Bridge, which will change forever the self- perception of humanity and it will rise us to the level of sustained Cosmic Consciousness.
Then, following the trail of the Seven Mystic Moons to reach the moment of starting program "Ship Time Earth 2013", signaling the entry of the planet in the dimension of Civilization and Space admission to full membership in the Galactic Federation.
The whole universe will be launched:
"Another planet with the Noosphere", "In spite of everything - we made it!"
