Hi,

I was wondering if you already though about having a national soccer association. FIFA ( International Federation of football Association) is the governing body of soccer in the world. FIFA has more member states than the United Nations, as FIFA recognizes several non-sovereign entities as distinct nations, such as the four Home Nations within the United Kingdom or politically disputed territories such as Palestine, and many nations inside nation states like tahiti, new-caledonia, martinique, and guadeloupe for france, or Catalunia for Spain.
FIFA also provides to poor contries various aid such as the goal program in order to develop soccer and education.
Maybe it would be interesting to develop a soccer program more than a football, baseball, or lacrosse because of the international exposure of this sport. Soccer is by far the most practiced sport in the world.
My idea would be to develop players like we do in Europe, in a soccer academy. Maybe a sport program could be added to the treaty school as cost are relatively cheap about soccer. We could provide good nutrition, education and soccer skills to many youngs. Soccer is also a brilliant but demanding game that requires concentration and commitment, and therefore keep youngs busy, entertained, and out of troubles.
I had this idea when i saw the Iroquois national team participate to the lacrosse world cup in great britain. The problem? nobody really watches lacrosse and it cannot compare with the political exposure and economic opportunity of soccer.
I think it would be interesting to plant a seed in that direction. Let me know what you think.

I'm truly excited for that. The birth of a National Football Soccer team with Lakotah players could very important for any future Lakotah estabilishment.

Before that, it would be necessary to have a team. You guys think that I am posting stuff like that for the hell of it?? Oglala college doesn't have a soccer program. Even if everything is shit, the schools have to be the best, because an education is the passport out of misery. Why do you think soccer is number one in africa and south america? Because the white man imposed the sport on them? Of course not! It's because when you have 10 kids, a ball of whatever, and stones makin goal post, you have a game!
To come back to the soccer stuff, when a kid have soccer practice with his friend during the week and he's thinking about the sunday game, half of the battle is won. It's a serious tool to battle the suicidal rate in teens in here.
ALL the biggest fires come from the smallest sparks!

First I need one guy, the guy! A professional, a local, reliable, dedicated, that can organize things and want to help. Me, I have my contacts. I found you sponsorship, fund raisers, equipments, whatever.
Basically we start a club team. Who want to seriously help? no bullshit. I have already crazycrow that's gonna make us a kickass logo, not for the federation yet, maybe when we create it also.

By the way , i am a current ncaa divIII soccer player, I grew up in a soccer academy in france. I know what im talking about. You wanted a project? you got one.

Do you have in Lakotah a soccer field? a 100yds X 60yds flat place with goal posts?
