 Post subject: Confused Ducks

Today in North Georgia I saw ducks flying North.Are they confused or what?It is still winter.That's weird. Jennifer

As far as it still being winter, I know that everyone is dealing with climate change, but we have had record highs and little rain or snow. Where I live, in the valley, snow is very unusual but it does happen. We can miss the rains and still survive if there is an ample snow pack in the Sierra Nevada range. Water resources sent their team up to get the water content samples of the snow (they do this several times a year) and the snow contained 20% of normal. What was astounding was, for all practical purpose, there was no snow. Instead of them walking over several feet of snow they were walking on grass and rocks looking for something to sample. They made their determinations on a place where they found two inches. Maybe these ducks know some things we don't. Kind of reminds me of "I see a bad moon rising."

My husband saw cranes going North today and we have plants(azaleas) that are blooming,that don't bloom until April.The weather is crazy and it is driving the birds and the plants crazy.Jennifer
